Some of my thought for understanding taiji bible 1

For my practice of water taiji(tai chi)and yiquan kongfu, I have some of understanding or self interpretation for taiji(taichi) bible. Wish to share with

I feel the main understanding for taiji, is yin plus yang equal completion. This is the beginning of the taiji bible. Most taiji practitioner either only practice soft, or practice hard, only small amount of group don’t really care and judge soft and hard but pay a lot attention about feel the right point no mater in hard or in soft move.

The first sentence talk about taiji, which come from wuji, and it is the switch between move and steady, and yinyang is born from it. So what we should practice, especially in form practice and push hand practice. Are we paying attention on how much yin or how much yang will be right? Or we shouldn’t care about yin and yang but only care about what is wuji? And what feeling is the feeling of Wuji? And how we can keep the feeling of Wuji?

For the beginner or taiji form long term practitioner, how come no matter how much we practice us always fail on push hand. Because we didn’t get what we should pay attention. Most of teacher or master adjusts form by check if taiji form played pretty or not. They never feel from higher level master about feeling of wuji. That is why.

I feel the teacher should teach student from the beginning about wuji feeling from the beginning poster of the form. And doesn’t mater what form you play. And that what my master teach me. What our water taiji and yiquan root stand is learn what is wuji feeling.

Wuji is the natural balance position. It is not only left and right balance, it is not only front and back balance; it is also up and down balance. This up and down balance is our own gravity sink which create same amount of body floating because our feet supported by earth. And I will add the forth balance is inside and out side balance which means how to position our self with the surrounding environment element balancing. In another word how to feel bland in our self with the surrounding element. This brings up the twelve sentence of taiji bible said: even a fur or a bug can not lien on you, to distort your balance.

So from the beginning poster of taiji form be for we start we have to look for the feeling of our whole body part have a kind of feeling which is every where feel the same amount of pressure, if small amount which have to be same small, if it is larger amount which have to be same larger amount but combine the amount on body, we also have to feel once out side feel small amount wrap around our body, our inside will fill inflated , once our out side body feel large amount pressure surround us, our inside body will feel hollow and empty to balance the out side wrap around pressure.

All because we are keeping the Wuji feeling, either we are in the balance environment or not. The natural balance feel is there. And automatic adjust toward neutral balanced position without go through brain.

So during the form practice all we need to feel is our own gravity weight, gravity center, gravity line is in position and all our other body part also feel the same amount of our gravity weight and every where in the same amount in any direction.
